Accident → Hot Air Balloon Accidents in the USA
This happened in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. The propane bottle exploded shortly after take off at about 75 feet off the ground. The rope then snapped and the basket dropped to the ground.

| The last episode was not fatal, all they survived. I had seen it on TV. Dont know anything about first episode but guess they survived. |

| First the flames fuck up, then the balloon goes and hits power lines causing the basket to fall off. I'd say thats a pretty bad day. |

| NO NO No ... you are wrong, even though you could not see it on this video there were two people - newly weds, who happened to be caught up in the line, as the basket flew over various locations police took potshots at it trying to bring the balloon down - on the tv news here in the northern provinces we could see and hear them screaming and pleading for help. Finaly a police helicopter got a little too close and the wash caused them to let go and they landed in a substation yard where they fused out the local neighbourhood, we were without power for two days while the linesmen fixed things. I would never go in one of those. The parents of the dead girl are suing the police for causing her death. It's all terribly sad. RIP. |
