War → Occupation of Iraq by Coalition
The Iraq War, sometimes called The Second Gulf War, (commonly referred to in the US as Operation Iraqi Freedom) is an ongoing conflict which began with a United States-led 20 March 2003 invasion of Iraq.
The U.S. rationale for the Iraq War has faced heavy criticism from an array of popular and official sources both inside and outside the United States. The U.S. deaths confirmed by the Department of Defense were 3,648 by July 29, 2007.
