Female genital cutting, also known as female genital mutilation, female circumcision or female genital mutilation/cutting, refers to all procedures involving partial or total removal of the external female genitalia or other injury to the female genital organs whether for cultural, religious or other non-therapeutic reasons. | This ritual is culturally based and often done for religious purposes. Proponents say it balances out a woman's sexual desires and makes her more appealing to her husband. | Uh, yeah, I'm a male, I got circumcised, and it's not a big deal. To say circumcision is the same for males and females is about as dumb as saying a penis and vagina are the same thing. The only reason some men are bitter about it is because they're just trying to be a martyr about something. |
