Leprosy or Hansen's disease, is a chronic incurable disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium leprae. Leprosy causes permanent damage to the skin, nerves, limbs and eyes. Contrary to popular belief, leprosy does not actually cause body parts to simply fall off.

| jude , like you said treated but it means it can be stopped from developing by taking a daily care but it is in fact incurable. |
