War → American female soldier
This American female soldier lost her left leg on May 22, 2008 when a roadside bomb exploded in al-Anbar province, Iraq. Fortunately, she survived.

| Painted nails aside, this still does NOT look right. The injury is too neat for a roadside bomb victim - a bomb (explosion) that was powerful enough to rip a leg off in such a manner would have caused significant trauma to the surrounding area, and signs of burning. I see neither. This looks very much like a terrible accident, in which her left leg was caught up by powerful and probably somewhat sharp machinery/tool... If the cause of injury is made up, I don't see any reason to believe this is an American soldier and all the other details... |
