I Want To Believe
The Japanese have contributed many technological advances for us and the world since WW2, I don't get all the hate. They don't even have an army anymore much less a reason to hate us.

Hideous, but minimal loss of life, considering the option. Remember the many lost Japanese soldiers in the Philippines, who remained loyal and in hiding? That's loyalty to the point of zelotry. If the US had landed, touched the sacred soil, every citizen would have become a fanatic. Hiroshima, Nagasake, these names I say in a hush of sober respect; I'm glad I don't have to say "Japan" thay way.
