| To ignore the trolling attempt of the previous comment, I view this punishment as not necessarily too harsh. The boy's crushed arm will heal with time. Put in perspective, in many countries his parents would be sent to prison for his crime. In others, his hands would simply be sliced off, a wound from which he will, of course, never heal. Does this punishment fit his crime? No. However, it does it's job. That boy will never steal again. |
