The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuclear attacks during World War II against the Empire of Japan by the United States of America under US President Harry S. Truman. On August 6, 1945, the first choice target, Hiroshima, was having clear weather. At 8:15 a.m. (local time), the Enola Gay's door sprang open and dropped "Little Boy." The bomb exploded 1,900 feet above the city and only missed the target, the Aioi Bridge, by approximately 800 feet. Staff Sergeant George Caron, the tail gunner, described what he saw: "The mushroom cloud itself was a spectacular sight, a bubbling mass of purple-gray smoke and you could see it had a red core in it and everything was burning inside... It looked like lava or molasses covering a whole city..." The cloud is estimated to have reached a height of 40,000 feet.
Hiroshima's population has been estimated at 350,000; approximately 70,000 died immediately from the explosion and another 70,000 died from radiation within five years. A survivor described the damage to people: "The appearance of people was... well, they all had skin blackened by burns... They had no hair because their hair was burned, and at a glance you couldn't tell whether you were looking at them from in front or in back... They held their arms bent [forward] like this... and their skin - not only on their hands, but on their faces and bodies too - hung down... If there had been only one or two such people... perhaps I would not have had such a strong impression. But wherever I walked I met these people... Many of them died along the road - I can still picture them in my mind -- like walking ghosts..."

Ah having been to both America & Japan,
it's safe to say the Japs are far more
polite, respectful, modest, subtle...
Hmmm, two wrongs don't make a right.
Hiroshima... Tragic... Pearl Harbour...
Tragic... But it's safe to say that
people are not born evil, just
corrupted... Oh and on top of that, do
Americans even realise they are hated by
most of the world? :P
sex on fire
hiro dont talk your just stupid. japan
started the war and the nuke put them in
their place. you think just because we
get pissed when you complain about the
atom were all racist dumb asses who
don't know right from wrong but that's
not true you guys did something really
fucked up and we gave you a taste of
your own medicine but that doesn't give
you a right to go and cry about it and
complain and that doesn't mean were
going to go around killing "evil japs".
the point is you guys shouldn't have
been trying to start shit you couldnt
handle and you especially have no
grounds to complain.
well unfortunately they sneaked attacked
us and brought on WW2 witch was the
greatest lost of human loss EVER...they
deserved everything that they got..
The nuclear weapon is not hoped for
The image of the first piece is unrelated to the atomic bomb in the one due to Hansen's disease.
Damage with the nucleus was more miserable.
Nevermind that Japan attacked us like cowards, right? Fucking morons.
I wish that America would come and nuke us Japanese again. We dont love freedom like the amricans and we all deserve to be nuked.
We hate dolphins and whales and we take great satisfaction in murdering them.My freinds and family are all evil and we deserve to die in a horrible way.My 4 year old daughter is my little princess, but america must save the world from her before she grows up to be an evil "Jap".
America, please use your freedom and come murder thousands of us please.
